Buckner returns to Cubs organization

Bill Buckner has returned using the Cubs.

Buckner, 62, was formally named the category A Boise striking coach on Friday. He came back to training last season because the manager from the Brockton Rox, and brought they to some 51-42 record within the independent CanAm League.

Buckner replaces Desi Wilson, who had been named the striking coach for that Cubs' Class A Daytona team.

Buckner rejoins the Cubs the very first time since playing for that large league team from 1977 to 1984. He won the 1980 National League batting crown and gained a place within the 1981 All-Star Game. A 22-year veteran, he was the Whitened Sox striking coach in 1996 and 1997, as well as would be a striking coach within the Blue Jays' Minor League system.

Buckner performed for that Dodgers, Cubs, Red-colored Sox, Angels and Royalty, striking .289 with 174 career home runs and 1,208 RBIs. He performed in 2 World Series: 1974, using the Dodgers, and 1986, using the Red-colored Sox.
